Pool fencing installers in Australian cities
Open a city to find companies that fit pool fencing as their main work. There is one list per city and no specialty pages, but the Glass pool fencing button narrows the list to installers with glass fence jobs. Pool shops and general fencing contractors that rarely fit pool barriers are left out.

Pool fencing installers in cities and regional towns
What owners ask first
What law says my pool needs a fence?
Pool safety is set by each state and territory, not nationally. Every state requires a barrier around a home pool or spa that meets its rules, and those rules refer to the Australian Standard AS 1926.1 for safety barriers. Which edition applies varies by state and by when the pool was built, so ask your council or state regulator which one covers yours.
Who can say that my pool fence complies?
Only an inspector or certifier authorised in your state. In Queensland that is a pool safety inspector licensed by the QBCC. In New South Wales it is the council or an accredited certifier. In Victoria it is a building surveyor or inspector registered with the Victorian Building Authority. In Western Australia the local government inspects private pool barriers. Fitting a barrier does not certify it, so ask whether the quote includes the inspection.
What do inspectors look for on a barrier?
Common failures are a gate that does not close and latch by itself, a latch that is damaged or fitted at the wrong height, gaps under or between panels, and anything a child could climb on, such as planters, chairs, air conditioners or branches near the fence. A fencing installer who knows the standard will check these on the day and tell you what to fix.
Do I need approval to put up or replace a pool fence?
A new pool barrier usually needs a building permit or approval from the council or a private certifier, and replacing one can too, depending on the state. Ask the installer whether approval applies and who applies. Which version of the standard covers an older fence depends on your state and when the pool was built, so ask the council or certifier rather than assuming it passes.
Is glass pool fencing judged differently?
It must meet the same barrier rules as any other fence, but glass has its own details: the type and thickness of the glass, the spigots or posts and how the panels are fixed all matter. Ask for the glass specification, who will have the barrier inspected and certified, and what the warranty covers. Use the Glass pool fencing button in a city list to find installers that show these jobs.
